WeChat vs. Line

Aside from Viber, Whatsapp, and KakaoTalk, the other two communication apps that have been emerged here in the Philippines rapidly recently are the WeChat from China and the LINE from Japan. These two can make a function to send message easily instead of taking time to email or sms your friends. Using WeChat and LINE, you can also express yourself easily by using stickers and emoji, and send photos and voice messages with ease.

Which app has been able to fill in the gap of mobile communication that has not been fulfilled by the other apps? Which is more fun and addictive? Which is much more easier to use? Which do you prefer to use?

Other Differences

  • WeChat uses QR code to connect its mobile platform with the desktop platform. Users can scan the QR code generated by the browser at web.wechat.com to connect the mobile platform to the desktop platform. Whereas, for Line, you have to download their software and install it on your computer; the traditional way of integrating mobile and desktop.
  • One of the advantages of WeChat over Line is that you cannot do video calls with Line.
  • WeChat aims to cover all possible areas of communication with its platform.
  • When more and more people start using mobile smartphone with front camera, then possibly WeChat would be other’s preferred choice when it comes to video chatting.
  • Line by default, already provided a wide-ranging selection of emoticons to spice up our chatting experience and make it so much more fun, unlike WeChat that still lacking in the choices of emoticons.

These apps are free. If you’re interested, you can go ahead and download it or maybe both.

But for me, I just want use the app which is more popular among my contact list.

The 266th leader of the Roman Catholic Church has been revealed as Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, 76-year-old Argentinian Cardinal, the former Archbishop of Buenos Aires. He will be known as Pope Francis, Latin America’s first pope and the first from outside Europe in over a thousand years.

Bergoglio’s chosen name, Francis, is a nod to the patron saint of Italy, Saint Francis of Assisi. –cbsnews.com

He has emerged on to the balcony of St Peter’s Basilica to address the thousands in the square. “I’d ask you to pray to God so that he can bless me,” Pope Francis says, leading a silent prayer, followed by a loud cheer from the crowd. He also thanks the faithful and the huddled underneath umbrellas (in a rain-drenched) for their welcome.
