Today is March 14, (3.14), the day we celebrate and commemorating the mathematical wonder of the universe that is “π”(pi)
π is a mathematical constant, representing the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter .
Pi Day is observed on March 14 annually, because of the date’s representation as 3.14(3/14) in month/day date format. While Pi Approximation Day is observed on July 22 (or 22/7 in day/month date format) since the fraction 22⁄7.
The exact value of Pi (π) hasn’t been found because it’s an ‘irrational number‘ and it will go on for infinity. That’s one of the weirdest things about our universe.
By the way, Pi Day is also Albert Einstein’s birthday.
